911 panel findings
yay... just sitting here this crappy morning reliving a bit of what happened that day. nothing from this investigation has shocked me yet. I was on that morning, and still am to this day very angry and upset that NOTHING was done. The panel has pretty much confirmed my thoughts. There were HUGE miscommunications on the morning of 911. That's why 3 planes full of people hit their targets and a 4th planeload of innocent people crashed into the ground in PA. I saw the 2nd plane hit on TV live. When I had heard that there were reports of a bomb going off at the pentagon and that another plane had reversed course over Ohio I FULLY expected our military would soon be taking action if they weren't already. That never happened. Now we know why I guess. The only thing I expect the current administration to do, if they acknowledge these findings at all, is to blame the problems on the Clinton administration. I've long held the belief that the plane that hit the pentagon should have never made it to it's target. We weren't protected by our government as we should have been. After seeing these reports I am starting to believe that even the planes that hit the WTC buildings could have... or should have been taken care of before hitting their targets.
This is but one reason why Bush needs to go. This all happened on his watch. They failed. Not only did they fail but their response to the failure was to create MORE government agencies and beureacracy bullshit... conservative my ass. Iraq has nothing to do with 911. Never did and never will. I don't have a problem with Iraq. What I have a problem with is how it's been associated with 911 in any way, shape or form. They stand up there and said 'we never said blah blah blah specifically' with those shit-eating grins... FUCK YOU! You fucking insinuated the hell out of it and some of you did in fact say those specific things. I don't like being lied to. You can be as optimistic as you want... but it will never change the cold, hard facts. Your failures cost the lives of thousands of innocent Americans and you've done little or nothing to ensure that those failures won't happen again. YOU'RE FIRED!

an interesting benefit of having a web server running and then also blocking ads by redirecting them to your localhost address using an IP blocklist: you can tell at what times others were using your computer to browse the net because the apache server takes the requests for the ads you've blocked - which generates 404 errors in your access log but still I find this to be a benefit of sorts if you are unfortunate enough to share a computer with people you really wish you didn't. Damn it's really fuckin hard to kick out your leech of a roommate when it's your sister :/

Free speech is all but dead. People with an allegiance to one of the major political parties absolutely can't tolerate views from another side... so we fight amongst ourselves instead of taking a good hard look at what the govt does... no matter what party the asshat in question claims allegiance to.
Nice job govt... this is exactly how I would do it... bet they're surprised it took this long though. Keep the people fighting amongst themselves and they don't have time to fight the govt. Keep them arguing with each other and they pay no attention to the things you do in their name... as their "employees". I really wish I hadn't seen the video... not because it was graphic, violent or disgusting but because of the damn numbers... because they would indicate that there was 11 hours between some scenes... because that's something any idiot editing something together wouldn't let happen... it's called continuity. Now I have this question in my head wondering about those missing 11 hours.
It is possible that there were 2 cameramen... and the different time displays would be caused by that. 2 seperate tapes that show different times for one reason or another. If it was actual time being displayed the camcorders could have been set in different time zones or something. If it was a real-time (amount of time passed since the tape was inserted into the playback unit) display of each tape being played (and they were probably using VHS camcorders) then those could be different simply because there are two different tapes and machines - the time display is not something hard-coded in the tape itself when it's the real-time display... only when it's actual time (as in time of the day) is it anywhere near accurate when it comes to non-time coded formats like consumer quality VHS equipment. That's assuming that the image of the time display was actually recorded to the tape and you _wouldn't_ be able to turn off the display if that's the case... and any idiot editing something would turn off the display if it messed up continuity like this.
I don't wish I hadn't seen the video. I wish they would have edited it better... instead of giving conspiracy theorists something to drool over :(

Station Agent, The (2003)
I just saw this movie and I really liked it. I'm not sure why... I totally got lost in it though. Perhaps I just long for an exsistence free of responsibility and that's why I liked Finn so much... seemed to live a serendipitous life. I also saw Mean Girls and OMG that Lindsay Lohan is... I'm sorry, Alyson Hannigan, but you have some deadly competition for hottest hollywood redhead now. Lindsay looks like she could be Alyson's sister or something if you ask me but they say I have a thing for pretty redheads... which is only half true ;)
